What is FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn Beta?
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game and features many of the trappings of the genre. Players create and customize their characters for use in the game, including name, race, gender, facial features, and starting class. Unlike in the original release, players may only choose to be a Disciple of War or Magic as a starting class—Disciples of the Hand and Land are initially unavailable.
Overview
A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The software installer includes 78 files and is usually about 90.73 MB (95,133,416 bytes). ffxivupdater.exe is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.
