EasyDownloads is a bundled installation using a download monetization platform. Installing the co-bundled software through the modified installer may not be optional. From the distribution site: "This product is totally free and offers the user additional bundle products that may include advertisement. The software can be installed without any additional software by opting out of the offerings. All additional bundle products are available for free from the manufacturer website. During installation and setup the software will offer uses by default the ability to install web browser toolbars or other potentially unwanted software applications designed to modify a user's search settings.
Overview
During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The primary executable is named easydownloads.exe. The setup package generally installs about 7 files and is usually about 7.56 MB (7,932,182 bytes).
