What is Dungeon Siege 2 Broken World?
Dungeon Siege II: Broken World is the expansion pack for the role-playing video game Dungeon Siege II and continues the unfinished plot of the previous game. It was developed by Gas Powered Games and published by 2K Games. The game continues where Dungeon Siege II left off. As with DS2, Broken World takes place on the continent of Aranna. However the world has changed much following the fall of Valdis and the clash of the Sword of Zaramoth and the Shield of Azunai. The protagonist continues to pursue the Dark Wizard who advised Valdis and masterminded much of what happened during Dungeon Siege II.
Overview
A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The primary executable is named DungeonSiege2.exe. The setup package generally installs about 30 files and is usually about 608.6 MB (638,159,559 bytes). The installed file gpgupdate.exe is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered.
