What is DefaultTab Chrome?
DefaultTab Chrome is developed by Search Results, LLC which modifies your search provider and home page. It also modifies search results and send your web surfing behavior to its partners to deliver targeted advertising. This program has been discovered being bundled with the InstallIQ download manager. DefaultTab Chrome plug-in, like other web browser extensions, can potentially have adverse effect on Chrome's performance and stability. This toolbar is known to monitor your search queries and browsing habits in order to send you targeted ads and modify your search settings and results.
The program will bundle additional 3rd party adware, the installed toolbar will modify the Google Chrome browser home page and search settings as well as the page not found settings. In addition, the software will periodically check for updates remotely and install them without the user's knowledge (agreed upon in the EULA).

How do I remove DefaultTab Chrome?
You can uninstall DefaultTab Chrome from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program DefaultTab Chrome, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
- Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
- Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove DefaultTab Chrome.
- If for some reason uninstallation fails, please install Microsoft's uninstall fixer utility which will help fix problems with programs that can't be uninstalled at support.microsoft.com.
