What is DNS Unlocker?
DNS Unlocker hijacks the computer's name servers in order to redirect advertisemenst to the user's web browser. According to the terms of service: "By downloading our Services you hereby allow us to modify your DNS settings so as to enable the provision of the Services; by using the Services you consent to the use of your device in the described manner. Please note that ceasing to use our Services or uninstalling our Services will not revert your previous DNS settings."

Overview
During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up (this is typically done to avoid any UAC prompts). The main program executable is dnslockington.exe. Typically most users end up uninstalling this just after a few days. The software installer includes 10 files and is usually about 1.17 MB (1,231,891 bytes).

How do I remove DNS Unlocker?
You can uninstall DNS Unlocker from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
