Overview

BullGuard is a software program developed by BullGuard. The most common release is 13.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. Upon being installed, the software adds a Windows Service which is designed to run continuously in the background. Manually stopping the service has been seen to cause the program to stop functing properly. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. When installed, it will add a context menu handler to the Windows shell in order to provide quick access to the program. The primary executable is named bullguard.exe. The setup package generally installs about 61 files and is usually about 92.32 MB (96,809,213 bytes). The installed file BullGuardUpdate.exe is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered. Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10. While about 26% of users of BullGuard come from United Kingdom, it is also popular in Germany and Belgium.

I run a small computer business (repairs, tuition, installations etc.) in Lincolnshire (UK) & I have installed Bullguard on hundreds of machines as well as my own at home. I have very high confidence in the product. If you have it - stay with it.
