Overview

AbiWord 2.9.4 is a program developed by AbiSource Developers. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The main program executable is abiword.exe. The software installer includes 57 files and is usually about 28.63 MB (30,016,840 bytes). The program uses the GLib GNOME library. In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows 10. While about 39% of users of AbiWord come from the United States, it is also popular in Germany and Italy.

AbiWord - to be honest, I don't really need a substitute MS Office Suite. I don't use them. But, if you are in need something basic, and don't have a gazillion bucks for Microsoft's behemoth, this is a reasonable choice. I won't live long enough to use most of Abi Word. Keep it. It's the other alternative.
