What is AIDA64 Extreme Edition?
AIDA64 supports over 150 various sensor devices to measure temperatures, voltages, fan speeds, and power draw. Measured values can be displayed on System Tray icons, OSD panel, Sidebar Gadget, and Logitech G15/G19 Gaming Keyboard LCD. The values can also be logged to file or exported to external applications such as RivaTuner or Samurai. AIDA64 can also alarm the user when it detects overheating, over-voltage, or cooling fan failure.

Overview
It adds registry entry for the current user which will allow the program to automatically start each time it is rebooted. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The primary executable is named aida64.exe. The setup package generally installs about 20 files and is usually about 26.54 MB (27,827,138 bytes). The installed file aida_update.dll is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered.
