What is Dell Mobile Broadband Manager?
On some Dell models, the connection software used may be Dell Mobile Broadband Connection Utility or the Dell ControlPoint Connection Manager. These software applications are supported by Dell. Verizon Wireless may have very limited support for these applications.
Overview
It is typically pre-installed with most new Dell computers. The most common release is 6.1.24.2, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. It adds registry entry for the current user which will allow the program to automatically start each time it is rebooted. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The primary executable is named WirelessManager.exe. The setup package generally installs about 18 files and is usually about 30.02 MB (31,479,690 bytes).
