PerformerSoft BrowserDefender is a web browser a potentially unwanted extension that is bundled with PerformerSoft products including PC Performer. The software is designed to protect its bundled programs and make sure they remain installed or unchanged by other thrid party programs as well as perform it's primary function which is to prevent the search and home page settings from being changed from something other than what the products or affiliates suggest.

It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is BrowserDefender.exe. Typically most users end up uninstalling this just after a few days. The software installer includes 4 files and is usually about 8.08 MB (8,476,764 bytes).

4. If for some reason uninstallation fails, please install Microsoft's uninstall fixer utility which will help fix problems with programs that can't be uninstalled at support.microsoft.com.
