What is BrowserDefender?

PerformerSoft/Bit89 BrowserDefender, a variant of the Browser Protector Software is a web browser add-in classified mostly a potentially unwanted application that used to be bundled with PerformerSoft products including PC Performer. BrowserDefender is designed to protect its bundled programs and make sure they remain installed or unchanged by other third party programs. It runs in the background as a Windows service with full administrator privileges in order to help prevent removal.
