Remove tools-winPre2k by VMware

This is the VMware Tools for an older verson Windows virtual machine running VMware server or desktop. The tools supports older versions of Microsoft Windows prior to Windows 2000 including Windows ME, Windows 98, Windows 95 and the various ditributions.

VMware Tools is a suite of utilities that enhances the performance of the virtual machine's guest operating system and improves management of the virtual machine. Without VMware Tools installed in your guest operating system, guest performance lacks important functionality.

The most common release is 8.8.2.703057, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version.

1. On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
• Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
• Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
2. When you find the program tools-winPre2k, click it, and then do one of the following:
• Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
• Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
3. Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove tools-winPre2k.
