Faces of War is a real-time strategy and real-time tactics computer wargame published by Russian publisher 1C Company. The game features a full 3D engine allowing the player to have much greater control over the camera compared to Soldiers. The engine also allows nearly full environmental destruction. The developers have also improved the multiplayer options from the last game, with many more modes and options.

The most used version is 1.0.1, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with.
