Configuratiescherm MobileMe

What is Configuratiescherm MobileMe?

MobileMe (replaced by iCloud) was a subscription-based collection of online services. MobileMe allowed users to track the location of their iOS devices via the web portal at me.com. MobileMe had two different plans. The Individual plan included 20 GB of email and file storage and 200 GB of monthly data transfer. MobileMe maintained a synchronized address book and calendar feature using Push functions. When a user made a change to a contact or event on one device, it was automatically synced to the MobileMe servers and, by extension, all the user's other devices. MobileMe had a public photo and video gallery feature. Photos and videos could be uploaded in the web browser at me.com, synced by iPhoto or Aperture on Mac OS X, or uploaded from the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Overview

During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. Upon being installed, the software adds a Windows Service which is designed to run continuously in the background. Manually stopping the service has been seen to cause the program to stop functing properly. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The setup package generally installs about 73 files and is usually about 28.92 MB (30,322,626 bytes).
