The ThinkVantage Power Manager Utility notifies you when the current notebook power settings do not match the settings that Lenovo recommends.The utility also provides an easy way to restore notebook power settings to the HP recommended settings.
Overview
ThinkVantage Power Manager is a program developed by Lenovo. The most used version is 2.10.0007, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The main program executable is DPMTray.EXE. The software installer includes 42 files and is usually about 27.88 MB (29,237,804 bytes). In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows 10. While about 54% of users of ThinkVantage Power Manager come from the United States, it is also popular in United Kingdom and Canada.
