What is Epson Customer Participation?

Epson Customer Participation Program is a software application that provides customers the ability to participate in market research designed to improve Epson products and experiences, and various programs with benefits such as special offers, awards and enhanced technical support. This program will prompt users to report problems and issues encountered on their HP machine should they arise for which Epson uses this information to develop, test and release patches and fixes for the reported issues. It is optional software.

Overview

The most common release is 1.0.0.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon being installed, the software adds a Windows Service which is designed to run continuously in the background. Manually stopping the service has been seen to cause the program to stop functing properly. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. The primary executable is named epcp.exe.
