Following these instructions led to an error message about being unable to remove the program. So I ran Malwarebytes on a full scan, which picked it up. I had Malwarebytes delete the detected entries. I looked in my Programs and saw it there afterwards, and was able to uninstall it. DefaultTab no longer affects my browsers. Good luck to those who are trying to remove it.

Has anyone encountered this and successfully removed it? It's a new "tab" on Firefox that may have been a third party bundle with PDFCreator inadvertently downloaded. Can't remove it using all the previously successful malware removal and registry edit tools, it goes undetected. It appears in the search engines on Firefox and can be removed, but then comes back. The tab never goes away, and I can't hide it. It also behaves the same as MySearch by attempting to redirect. Instead of my previously set preference for opening a new tab, I get a search window with it's four color pinwheel icon and a search bar.
