What is SpywareBlaster?  (from BrightFort)

SpywareBlaster doesn't scan for and clean spyware--it prevents it from being installed in the first place. Overview

SpywareBlaster 5.0 is a program developed by BrightFort. Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. It adds an extension to the user's Internet Explorer web browser. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is spywareblaster.exe. The software installer includes 20 files and is usually about 7.74 MB (8,111,303 bytes). sbautoupdate.exe is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released. In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows 10. While about 64% of users of SpywareBlaster come from the United States, it is also popular in United Kingdom and Canada.

SuperAntiSpyware used to find three to twenty five spyware items each day but since installing Spyware Blaster it usually finds "no potentially harmful items", and only occasionally one or two. Very impressive!
