What is Epson Event Manager?

EPSON Event Manager allows you to assign any of the product buttons to open a scanning program. You can also save scan settings that you use frequently. It makes scanning your projects even quicker. Select Applications %3E EPSON Software, and double-click the Launch Event Manager icon.


The most common release is 2.40.0001, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The primary executable is named eprojmanager.exe. Seems this software is a hassle in Windows, and it sucks on the Mac side also. Tech support with Epson, recommends trashing EEEvent Manager. Obviously it is flawed.
