eBoostr 4 is a program developed by eBoostr. The most used version is 4.5, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The programs's main executable is eBoostrCP.exe and has been seen to consume an average CPU of less than one percent, and utilizes about 4.25 MB of memory. It also adds an icon to the Windows notifications area in order to provide access to the program. A vast majority of those who have this installed end up removing it just after a couple weeks. The software installer includes 12 files and is usually about 16.02 MB (16,797,104 bytes). In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows XP. How do I remove eBoostr 4?

If you have Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 on your computer - I would recommend not installing or removing this program. While it does speed up your system if you have 4gb or less of RAM memory - the memory caching this program does tends to destroy Windows system files when you restart and/or power down and start up your computer.

Really does make programs load faster, especially if you setup a large RAM cache. I use a 1GB ram cache and two 4GB flashdrives and it works great. I think the reason why some (bad) anti-virus programs is suspicious of eBoostr, is because it makes all reads to the hard-drive go through it, which is something regular programs don't do.
