Unfortunately, using the Win 7 Uninstall program under Add/Remove programs, does nothing. The uninstall wizard appears briefly on the tray but then disappears. I've recently removed a PCI-e USB3.0 card from my older DuoCore 2 Dell Dimension since I could not get USB3.0 speeds. My new USB PCI-e card uses a newer more versatile NEC controller chip (vs the previous card using a VIA controller chip) but I cannot remove the VIA platform device manager by any method including CCleaner file finder/remove as well as the Win 7 uninstall. IS THIS PROGRAM necessary for any other typical Win 7 hardware? Will it conflict with the NEC/Renases USB 3.0 controller firmware? Should I simply leave the VIA Platform device manager intact?
