Internet Download Manager
from HostJSC
Overview
Internet Download Manager is a program developed by HostJSC. Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. It adds a Browser Helper Object (BHO) to Internet Explorer. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is IDMan.exe1_0E251ADEB4B144C98822F6C39C075D0F.exe. The software installer includes 36 files and is usually about 3.02 MB (3,168,377 bytes). In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows 7. While about 15% of users of Internet Download Manager come from Indonesia, it is also popular in DZ and the United States.
