What is HomeTab?

HomeTab is a web browser toolbar and extension that modifies the browsers search and home pages as well as delivers contextual based advertising. This toolbar currently supports Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. In order to provide search advertising revenue, the software is designed not only to modify the search provider but to protect it so that it remains the default browser search engine. It is typically installed via a co-bundled offer within a third-party software distribution.

- change your new tab page on any of your browsers to add the Widdit HomeTab.
- change your default search engine to add Widdit's (or any of Widdit's affiliates) search engine.
- change your homepage in any of your browsers to allow the HomeTab to provide you with better services.
- install browser add-ons, plugins or widgets to any of your browsers.
- may set desktop icons on your wallpaper.
- install mobile applications on your device.

From the EULA: "Widdit may install additional software bundled with the Widdit Software and/or add features that may automate installations of Widdit Software on connected devices."

HomeTab/Widdit is also related to the PUP distributed Simply Tech Ltd and One Floor Apps and is now distributed by both organizations.
