Disasteroids

What is Disasteroids?

Disasteroids from Injekt brand of adware extensions is a potentially unwanted adware program that injects ads into the user's browser. This includes inserting into web pages or displaying ads over parts of existing web page advertisements, banners, coupons or text links that would not otherwise appear. It will communicate with the Injekt's servers to check for new offers and the placement of offers as well as monitoring and recording the domain name of each page the user views, the advertisements that appear on these pages and the ads the user clicks on.

From the terms: "These Applications may provide their functionality and advertising by modifying your network traffic. Applications may be supported by advertising, which may include display ads (banner ads), text ads, in-text ads (e.g., keyword highlighting), interstitial ads, pop up ads, pop under ads, or other types of ads. Users may see additional ads when using their Internet browser or other software applications."
