Comodo Dragon

What is Comodo Dragon?

Comodo Dragon is a freeware web browser. The Comodo Dragon browser developed by Comodo Security Solutions, Inc. is based on the Chromium software code developed by Google. It is an implementation of Chromium and is produced by Comodo Group. Sporting a similar interface to Google Chrome, Dragon eliminates Chrome's usage tracking and some other potentially privacy-compromising features, and provides additional security measures, such as indicating the authenticity and relative strength of a website's SSL certificate. Instead of Google Updater, Comodo Dragon features its own built-in Updater. If Dragon is uninstalled, users are given the option of keeping Dragon's cache and cookie files or deleting them.

Why does Virtual_mode_helper.exe only load if I use Comodo Dragon in the sandbox? Both Chrome and IE load in the same sandbox BUT no virtual_mode_helper.exe loads. It makes me wonder WHY? Also on first load it is the Virtual_mode_helper.exe that eats up 26% of my CPU and takes forever to load. Once completed the first time, it loads just as fast as Chrome or any other browser. This is weird and I do not like weird things. Any thoughts?

I find comodo producs generally ok - Dragon is useful paticularly if you use the Comodo AV suite as it offers you protected browsing - other than this it is another browser variation and I find it useful to have several browsers installed

That's probably because you chose to use comodo dns, when you installed it. It sometimes have problems connecting to it, when coming out og hibernation and so on, you either have to wait a while, install without comodo dns, or use an other browser.

Since yesterday I have been having a problem with Comodo Dragon. I cannot connect online, as no webpage I try to open in the browser will open. It keeps saying Error 15 (net::ERR_SOCKET_NOT_CONNECTED): Unknown error. Dragon is the only browser it is doing this in. I have had no problems using Chrome, IE, or IceDragon.
