You can get into trouble really fast when you start removing factory installed programs and components on a whim. The smarter approach would be to disable the program from the start-up menu and see how your computer behaves. After testing your system with the program disabled you find you are satisfied with the performance create a Restore Point and THEN remove the program.

If you're using Windows 8/8.1, then this really isn't necessary. My Windows 8 ASUS laptop wakes up from sleep in 5 to 10 seconds, that's plenty fast.

I would just remove it. The computer sleeps very quickly and wakes up from sleep very quickly without the help of the magical "Instant On" software.
