What is ALLPlayer V5.X?

ALLPlayer is an overlay for MediaPlayer, and it uses DirectX, so that with its help, you can play any movie (built-in codecs allow you to play most file formats including DivX, XviD, MP3, and AVI, FLV, MP4, 3GP, MKV, M2TS, MPG, MPEG, RMVB, WMV, QuickTime, MOV, FLAC, APE and many others). The player can also read subtitles in movies by a speech synthesizer that mimics the human voice. In addition, ALLPlayer also capable of playing DVD, Audio CD, the ability to preview images from webcams, DV or any other video source such as a TV tuner, a built-in equalizer allows you to select several standard audio settings (such as pop, rock, techno) or manual control, has the ability to choose any audio output, including SPDIF, allowing lossless digital transmission of sound to an amplifier.

Overview

Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. It adds a Browser Helper Object (BHO) to Internet Explorer. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is allplayer.exe.
