I've uninstalled this piece of rubbish from my PC some days ago. Yet, it didn't actually uninstall. De-activated the service, it simply restarts itself. Uninstalled again - this time getting the message that the junk had already been previously uninstalled, which prompted the question if I wanted to remove the entry in the add/remove programs list, which in a moment of brainfart I did select. Surprise, surprise, it's not uninstalled, not deleted, still active, still slurping memory and bandwidth. All this while I have no "pando supported software" installed at this time. I do know where this install came from, a game my nephew played while he was staying here, but when he left the game was uninstalled - and we assumed Pando would be gone along with it. Nephew has informed me that nowhere during the install of the game he was prompted about any Pando product being bundled with, or even required by, said game. Nowhere during uninstall did it come up - and he didn't check "add/remove programs", which I did for a completely unrelated reason when I spotted that garbage in the list. So, uninstalling it through the add/remove programs list doesn't uninstall it.... the uninstaller that comes with Pando itself doesn't uninstall it... the crap that they plug into the network stuff on the config screen doesn't disable or do anything else, everything gets done to just happily leech your memory and bandwidth. The game is uninstalled, Pando Media Booster is no longer required, it has been uninstalled, and yet it still forces itself on my computer, eagerly trying to connect to some 50 Russian and Saudi-Arabian addresses... why? The game in question that it had been bundled with during install was a Korean product, played on Korean and US-based servers, a test by myself on a seperate computer shows that at no point this game required any connections with Saudi-Arabia or Russia, nor does it ever make any such connections. So why, why, why is PMB so keen on plugging my computer to addresses which are teh interwebz' equivalent of STD-ridden streetwalkers? And why is PMB doing this, when a few different sources on the web are pointing out: "Pando shut down its servers and ceased business on August 31, 2013."? Short version: This is malicious memory- and bandwidth-hogging malware, with an uninstaller that doesn't uninstall, which only tries to trick you into thinking it got uninstalled when in reality it didn't uninstall... a malware which nests itself into your config scr...

PMB is installed with the Riot Games version of League of Legends.

don't listen to the comments below - pando can use exorbitant amounts of bandwidth (especially problematic for countries with capped upload/download bandwidth - like Australia) in the background whenever you have launched it, usually through another application like League of Legends. In the case of LoL, it is COMPLETELY unnecessary for the game to run and can easily be uninstalled with no negative effect. Pando is ridiculous - it marauds itself as an svhost.exe application among other names, and consistently tries to hide itself. Pando is ridiculous - unless you know it is essential for your applications, UNINSTALL IT.
