Overview

Driver Support is a program developed by PC Drivers HeadQuarters, Inc. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The main program executable is DriverSupport.exe. The software installer includes 35 files and is usually about 9.78 MB (10,254,366 bytes). DriverSupport.Updater.exe is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released. In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows 10. While about 86% of users of Driver Support come from the United States, it is also popular in Canada and United Kingdom.

How do I remove Driver Support?

You can uninstall Driver Support from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
  1. On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
    • Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
    • Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
  2. When you find the program Driver Support, click it, and then do one of the following:
    • Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
    • Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
  3. Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove Driver Support.

It kept popping up without me wanting it too. Also kept saying my "NEW" drivers needed to be fixed. Delete it.

I started getting unwanted messages to "install Driver Support" after I clicked on a link for an "alarm clock". I also now get pop-ups from Optimizer Pro, which tells me I have over "20,000 items" to fix, which I don't believe because I use BitDefender, which I trust. I haven't installed either program, but need to remove these two nuisance messages.

Hard to use. Don't understand directions. Also installed wrong drivers and left my computer without any audio.
