Nokia Multimedia Factory is an add-on application, which works on top of Nokia PC Suite and can be used with a compatible Nokia mobile phone. Currently Nokia Multimedia Factory only supports some phone models with the Symbian operating system. Note: Not all phones with the Symbian operating system are supported.
Overview
Nokia Multimedia Factory is a program developed by Nokia. The most used version is 1.3, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is multimediafactory.exe. The software installer includes 54 files and is usually about 4.06 MB (4,258,476 bytes). SoftwareUpdater.exe is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released. In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows Vista (SP2) as well as Windows XP. While about 31% of users of Nokia Multimedia Factory come from United Kingdom, it is also popular in the United States and Germany.
