What is MFC-235C?
The Multi-Function Link Pro (MFC-235C) Suite and the MFC Software Suite are software programs designed to give the greatest flexibility, functionality and enjoyment from your Brother machine. These programs are included on the product CD-ROM and they are installed during the initial setup. MFL Pro Suite/ MFC Software Suite includes the printer driver, scanner driver, Brother Control Center and ScanSoft with OCR.
Overview
The most used version is 1.0.2.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The software installer includes 24 files and is usually about 3.68 MB (3,853,557 bytes).
