Internet Download Manager Install
by WKK, Inc.
Overview
Internet Download Manager Install is a program developed by WKK. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. It adds a Browser Helper Object (BHO) to Internet Explorer. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. Once installed, it will add an extension to both the Firefox and Chrome web browsers. The software installer includes 39 files and is usually about 14.57 MB (15,277,591 bytes). A majority of the PCs this is running on, most OS versions are Windows 10. The distribution of this has mostly been seen in the United States.
