What is EnergyCut?
The EnergyCut program which is part of the Lenovo Power Management Software that is installed on various Lenovo models is designed to reduce the amount of energy the computer's CPU utilizes by reducing the frequency and display of teh CPU in order to save power and energy consumption. The software provides a number of user customized features that allows for the adjustment of the level to which the utility attempts to maximize energy consumption.
Overview
During setup, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC. The primary executable is named EnergyCut.exe. The setup package generally installs about 8 files and is usually about 6.5 MB (6,813,709 bytes).

How do I remove EnergyCut?
You can uninstall EnergyCut from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program EnergyCut, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
- Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
- Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove EnergyCut.
