Avid Symphony
What is Avid Symphony?
Symphony is now only available as an add-on option for Media Composer. Avid Symphony is non-linear editing software aimed at professionals in the TV and movie industry. Symphony is Avid's high end SD/HD finishing platform for long form work, such as documentary and episodic TV. Its interface is based on the same look and feature set as the Media Composer and Xpress systems, but features the highest level of features and resolution including secondary color correction, uncompressed HD, and higher real-time performance.
Overview
The most common release is 6.5.2000, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. The setup package generally installs about 42 files and is usually about 2.08 MB (2,181,216 bytes).

How do I remove Avid Symphony?
You can uninstall Avid Symphony from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
- Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.
- When you find the program Avid Symphony, click it, and then do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall.
- Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).
- Follow the prompts. A progress bar shows you how long it will take to remove Avid Symphony.
