About  (from ELEX DO BRASIL PARTICIPAÇÕES LTDA)

Detect and Remove Specific Malware from Your PC. A Handy and Efficient Malware Removal Tool for Windows Users. YAC's Browser Tracking Protection Is Currently Available for Large Daily Users to Stay in Control of Their Privacy As They Browse the Web.

Overview

YAC is a software program developed by ELEX DO BRASIL PARTICIPAÇÕES LTDA. Upon being installed, the software adds a Windows Service which is designed to run continuously in the background. Manually stopping the service has been seen to cause the program to stop functing properly. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). When installed, it will add a context menu handler to the Windows shell in order to provide quick access to the program. The primary executable is named iStart.exe. The setup package generally installs about 71 files and is usually about 40.99 MB (42,980,786 bytes). The installed file iSafeUpdate.exe is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered. Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10. While about 25% of users of YAC come from the United States, it is also popular in Italy and India.
  • Installs a Windows Service
  • Known to reinstall itself
YAC has been found to be bundled with 3rd party software. If you have not purposefully installed this, you should be safe uninstalling it.
