What is VisualBee chrome Toolbar?
VisualBee chrome Toolbar is an ad-supported (users may see additional banner and in-text link advertisements) web browser plugin distributed through various monetization platforms during installation. The browser extension includes various features that will modify the default or custom settings of the browser including the home page and search settings.
The toolbar uses the Babylon framework and is built on and distributed by Babylon and its co-bundle/pay=per-install partners.
What the toolbar does:
- Changes the default search engine in your web browser's built-in search box.
- Changes the default home page of your web browser.
- Adds alternative "page not found" functionality.
- Enable search from the address bar of your web browser.
Overview
During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up (this is typically done to avoid any UAC prompts). A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The main program executable is BUSolution.dll. Typically most users end up uninstalling this just after a few days. The software installer includes 7 files and is usually about 1.57 MB (1,643,388 bytes).
- Possible malware installed by this program
- Automatically starts with Windows
- Loads into the web browser
- Typically distributed through a pay-per-install bundle
- Displays advertisements unassociated with the underlying web page
- May modify the web browser's home page
- Many experts agree, if you don't use it you should remove it!
