Overview

RegCure Pro is a software program developed by ParetoLogic. The most common release is 3.1.6.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up (in many cases this is done to avoid any UAC prompts). A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The primary executable is named regcurepro.exe. The setup package generally installs about 22 files and is usually about 11.42 MB (11,979,459 bytes). The installed file HandleUpdate.dll is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered. Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 8. While about 57% of users of RegCure Pro come from the United States, it is also popular in United Kingdom and Canada.

Some time ago their info popped up on my desktop computer saying they would fix slow computers. I believe I paid $24.95 and after that I tried to "clean up" my computer RegCure said I needed to pay $39.95. I didn't want to, but have no way of finding them to cancel or ask for my money back. They are on my computer everytime I go on stating their ability to check my computer and fix whatever is wrong. They say there are about thousands of things wrong. Much to my regret, this program has caused many problems with my computer. Missing files, folders, trying to access the internet.
