What is IntelliMemory?  (from Condusiv Technologies)

Overview

IntelliMemory is a software program developed by Condusiv Technologies. The most common release is 1.0.32.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon being installed, the software adds a Windows Service which is designed to run continuously in the background. Manually stopping the service has been seen to cause the program to stop functing properly. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. The primary executable is named TCU.exe. The setup package generally installs about 18 files and is usually about 4.11 MB (4,313,757 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 10 and Windows 7 (SP1). While about 33% of users of IntelliMemory come from the United States, it is also popular in Brazil and United Kingdom.

I also was struggling with discovering what was using up so much of the non-paged memory pool (4.6 GB out of 8 GB total). I did as recommended here and uninstalled Intellimemory, and voila, non-paged pool memory back down to about 300 MB. Ridiculous.

UNINSTALL!!!!!!!! I was literally thinking about throwing my core i7 Samsung notebook in the wall since it was so slow. It was running with 83% of the RAM (constant 3.2 giga) occupied and I did not manage to diminish that even uninstalling apps, disabling anti virus ant etc. I found this forum after checking my task manager for what other programs could be to blame… and indeed uninstalling worked. Now running at constant 1,1 giga… Ridiculous… Computer is finally running like it should.

Just bought a new ATIV 8 on 2013-12-28 and found from the start my ram was jacked at 83%. I Googled for 'Samsung 80% ram" and found this page. Disabled the background job to test and YES, it works (reduced RAM usage). Crap software, get rid of it.

Uninstall this bugger, causing memory leak which makes laptop slow like crawling. worse still, I don't even know where the software comes from. Condusiv Technologies is really trying to put many stupid stuff in my computer, they also somehow installed toolbars in all of my browsers...

I have a Samsung notebook with 8Gb of RAM, Windows 8, Intel i7 and it started to run really slowly. After I googled the problem, the solution was very easy : I uninstalled the intellimemory and now the computer is as fast as it can be. I think that App is never sufficiently experimented before it went public. ( to uninstall intellimemory, run services.msc , on the properties list stop intellimemory and stop it to run after a start-up )

It is worse than most viruses. I tested 3 Samsung notebooks with i7. When I use "restart" option, 50%-80% memory of these computers is blocked by it. A slower machine probably would not run.

For Samsung ultrabooks users: if you have any "Condusiv Technologies" software on the C://Program Files folder please uninstall it... it will be eating your RAM.
