Iminent toolbar is a browser extension for Internet Explorer and Firefox which is used to emoticons while using Facebook and web-based email products. During installation the Iminent toolbar changes your browser's homepage to seach.iminent.com and your standard search engine will be also set to search.iminent.com.

Overview

The most used version is 6.4.56.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation and setup, it defines an auto-start registry entry which makes this program run on each Windows boot for all user logins. It adds a Browser Helper Object (BHO) to Internet Explorer. The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is Iminent.exe. A vast majority of those who have this installed end up removing it just after a couple weeks. The software installer includes 47 files and is usually about 17.17 MB (18,008,137 bytes).
