Heimdal

Overview

Heimdal is a software program developed by CSIS Security Group. The most common release is 1.10.5.0, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The primary executable is named heimdalagent.exe. The setup package generally installs about 18 files and is usually about 2.84 MB (2,975,752 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10. While about 39% of users of Heimdal come from DK, it is also popular in the United States and Germany.

Exellent and 110% safe updating agent from CSIS. It provides automatic silent updates to the most common programs that often are targeted by hackers. Free version is very good.
