On Win XP the Windows task manager shows 2 instances of BrowserProtect.exe: User and SYSTEM. The user instance constantly generates a huge amount of page faults - although there is plenty of available RAM. Why?

I have recently noticed a folder called BrowserProtect. Not sure what it was I ran a virus scan with AVG and it reported that the file was infected and failed to remove. I then looked into the folder and one of the files was BrowserProtect.exe and an uninstall.exe. I then tried to uninstall using the uninstall.exe and it asked for permission to continue and i clicked yes, then nothing happened. After this I searched the web for information and came accross the website www.bit89.com which has an uninstall section and looking at it I had to download an uninstaller, nothing happened. My anti-virus then done its scheduled scan and when it got to the BrowserProtect folder AVG froze.
