What is Wisdom-soft ScreenHunter Free?
Wisdom-soft ScreenHunter Free includes a branded version of the Conduit Toolbar, which is a web browser extenstion that delivers search based advertising and results. During installation the user is presented with the option to install the toolbar. Once accepted, the packaged executable, ConduitInstaller.exe, will install the necessary components for the Conduit Toolbar to be added to the user's web browser (the home page and search pages will be modified in many cases).

Overview
Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is ScreenHunter.exe. The software installer includes 22 files and is usually about 6.03 MB (6,324,097 bytes). Update.EXE is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.
