What is Windows Driver Frameworks Update Packages?

Windows Driver Frameworks (WDF) is a set of libraries that you can use to develop device drivers that are interoperable with Windows. WDF is comprised of Kernel-Mode Driver Framework (KMDF) and User-Mode Driver Framework (UMDF). After successful installation, Windows loads the client driver every time the device is attached and unloads the driver when the device is detached from the host computer.
