What is ThinkVantage Active Protection System?
The Active Protection system is enabled by default whenever the computer and operating system are operating. The system will not be able to access the hard disk drive during the time that the Active Protection system has unloaded the hard disk drive heads due to a tilt or drop motion being detected.

How do I remove ThinkVantage Active Protection System?
You can uninstall ThinkVantage Active Protection System from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
- On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel, and then, under Programs, do one of the following:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program.
