TV-Browser gets the daily TV program from the internet and shows it clearly aranged - like a printed TV guide. An internet connection is only necessary during the data update. TV-Browser runs on every system with the Java runtime environment installed.
Overview
TV-Browser 3.3a is a program developed by TV-Browser Team. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is tvbrowser.exe. The software installer includes 5 files and is usually about 7.86 MB (8,239,474 bytes). In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows 10. While about 76% of users of TV-Browser come from Germany, it is also popular in Austria and the United States.
