What is StarCraft?

StarCraft is a military science fiction real-time strategy video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. Blizzard Entertainment's use of three distinct races in StarCraft is widely credited with revolutionizing the real-time strategy genre. All units are unique to their respective races and while rough comparisons can be drawn between certain types of units in the technology tree, every unit performs differently and requires different tactics for a player to succeed.

Overview

A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is starcraft.exe. The software installer includes 39 files and is usually about 1.21 MB (1,272,015 bytes). bnupdate.exe is the automatic update component of the software designed to download and apply new updates should new versions be released.

How do I remove StarCraft?

You can uninstall StarCraft from your computer by using the Add/Remove Program feature in the Window's Control Panel.
