Rhymes is a free program that allows you to easily pick up a rhyme, synonym or epithet, learn lexical meaning and pronunciation of the word, see examples of its use. This is a universal vocabulary tool that will be useful to all who write Russian text.
Overview
Rhymes is a program developed by Nick Ketsaris. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is Rhymes.exe. The setup package is about 2.34 MB (2,452,253 bytes) when donwloaded. In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the OS Windows 7 (SP1) as well as Windows XP. While about 40% of users of Rhymes come from Russia, it is also popular in the United States and New Zealand.
