Remove Registry Reviver

Registry Reviver is registry utility whose purported purpose is to remove redundant items from the Windows registry. The software helps to automate the process of looking for invalid entries, missing file references or broken links within the registry and resolving or removing them. The necessity and usefulness of registry cleaners is a controversial topic, with experts in disagreement over their benefits.

The most used version is 4.9.0.4, with over 30% of all installations currently using this version. Upon installation, it defines an auto-start registry entry which allows the program run on each boot for the user which installed it. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version).
