Python 2.7.5

What is Python?  (from Python Software Foundation)

Python is a remarkably powerful dynamic programming language that is used in a wide variety of application domains. Python is often compared to Tcl, Perl, Ruby, Scheme or Java. Overview

Python 2.7.5 is a software program developed by Python Software Foundation. During setup, the program registers itself to launch on boot through a Windows Schedule Task in order to automatically start-up. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The primary executable is named python.exe. The setup package generally installs about 50 files and is usually about 15.48 MB (16,228,352 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10. While about 50% of users of Python come from the United States, it is also popular in United Kingdom and France.
