What is NetZero Internet?

NetZero is a software application that allows you to connect to the internet. In order to get access to this software you need to register for a free account and then you can download the application. The Connection Wizard is a software program that one can download and run on a computer that is having trouble connecting to the Internet using NetZero.

Overview

The most common release is netzero quickstart, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. It adds registry entry for the current user which will allow the program to automatically start each time it is rebooted. The program adds a toolbar to Microsoft Internet Explorer. A scheduled task is added to Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch the program at various scheduled times (the schedule varies depending on the version). The software is designed to connect to the Internet and adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The setup package generally installs about 27 files and is usually about 6.76 MB (7,092,639 bytes).
